To create a new waste component, right click on the waste producer node and in the context menu choose the Add Waste component item. In the displayed window, type a name of component and click OK. On this click the Select nuclides to be used in table window will be opened allowing user to select nuclides and/or nuclide chains for the created waste component.
The description of component can be given in the Properties and Links panel.
The appearance of Waste components icon is changed if the waste stream is assigned to this component (bold red arrow)
