To define properties of a waste component double-click on the waste component in the Object explorer window or right-click on the waste component (Waste producers -Waste producer -Waste component) and in the appearing menu choose the Edit properties (adv. form / table) option.
There are four tabs in the Waste component window / form.
In the Description tab any information, which is considered relevant, can be added.
In the Type and amount tab the quantitative data describing waste components as well as waste types (drop-down list) can be specified.
In the Inventory tab the total activity or concentration will calculated for the radionuclides selected and invoked to the ‘Activity / Concentration’ table (the Recalculate values in table button).
Click the Add / remove nuclide from table button to select radionuclides or/and nuclide chains. The appearing window contains several fields facilitating the nuclide selection. Use arrow – > (– > >) and the Delete from list button to include, respectively, exclude nuclides and nuclide chains relevant for the waste component.
User can also specify “favorite” radionuclides and use them as the predefined alternative next time.
In addition tables can be used to define or modify properties of the waste component.
